Ther libertarian group Broomfield Taxpayers Matters has been distributing a flier that is filled with misinformation about Broomfield's budget, including missing the mark on a budget increase by 92%. That's a big error.  You should not trust their amateur accounting. The reality is Broomfield has solid finances, 20% reserves, low debt ratio and stellar credit. Our budget increases reflect increased population, inflation and a major investment in our police department, which had been woefully underfunded. We've added 35 officers -- and netted the lowest per capita crime rate in the Denver metro.
